Reapportionment

Good article on Reapportionment to be found. If only the Republicans have the guts to be effective.

No More Mohameds

Tuesday, November 30th, 2010

With the recent arrest of Mohamed Osman Mohamud it has occurred to me that if our war with Islam is to be successfully disguised as NOT a war on Islam then we’re going to have to quit arresting all of these Mohameds.  Or if we can’t just not arrest them at least give them another name for purposes of releasing the information to the press. Of course if we were to do such a thing it begs the question, if not “Mohamed” then what will we name them?

I think I have the answer. I propose we name them alphabetically, like hurricanes.  That is we’ll not only be giving them an ambiguous name (not Mohamed) but we can tell by the starting letter of the name what number terrorist that is, for the year.

So, beginning in January, lets name successive terrorist captured: Alfus, Bufort, Clovis, etc.

Unhappy People Become Liberals

Dennis Prager, writing for the National Review Online, explains why liberalism and unhappiness go together in this article. Good work.

Clinton Praises W’s Book

Friday, November 12th, 2010

Slick Willie has some really nice things to say about W and about W’s book. That really doesn’t surprise me.

I thought Billie Boy was a better domestic president than W.:
Bill gave us welfare reform and nafta.
W gave us Medicare Part D and Tarp.

Of course, what propelled those events were a Republican congress for Clinton and a Democrat congress for Buss.

Anyway, if you’re looking for what Bill Clinton has to say about Bush and his book you can find it HERE.

Michael Barone has a terrific article about the elections’ gift that keeps on giving to the GOP: Redistricting.

And They’re Coming Down the Stretch

Tuesday, November 2nd, 2010

I can’t wait for the election returns. It’s like Christmas. Or the superbowl. Or a Bogart festival. Or… Or.. man I can’t wait. Just a few more hours. Yehaw!

Tired of It

Tuesday, November 2nd, 2010

I am, at least for now, disallowing comments. I’ve been flattered by all of the spammers who really really love my work, but it’s gotten too tedious. If you have a brain and you have something to say try to figure out how to email me. Look at who wrote the post and look at the website url and figure it out. If you can figure that out there’s a good chance I’ll fix it so you can comment. Good luck to all of you and I’m sorry to all of the spammers. I know you’re just trying to get by and maybe pay for some cornflakes and I’m really sorry you can’t find a better way to do that, but such as it is, it is.

Clueless

Tuesday, November 2nd, 2010

After the landslide election in the Republicans favor Obamarama will insist he’s representing the folks that didn’t vote. I know it’s stupid, and he’ll refer to them as the ’silent masses’ or whatever, but he’ll say he must continue to represent the little people even if they didn’t vote. Remember, you heard it here first.

Not News

Thursday, October 21st, 2010

The Obama Administration successfully appealed to keep “Don’t Ask Don’t Tell” in place. For Now. Why are ALL of the news reports leaving Obama’s name out of that action? They say the Feds appealed. They say the administration (not Obama’s administration) or the government. I even saw a headline depicting Obama as caught in the middle, the poor thing. He is directing his administration to burn one of his key constituencies and I’m wondering why that is not mentioned anywhere, but instead so studiously avoided. What gives?

First Lady’s Vacation

Sunday, August 8th, 2010

Everyone is talking about Michelle Obama’s lavish vacation in Spain while everyday Americans are having to do without extras. They are missing the point of the trip. Spain tried government support for green jobs and a “green economy” and it was an utter failure. They have gone broke doing it. Michelle’s trip is to humanize Spain, to cast them as the good guys, to deflect criticism of Obama’s green jobs plan that’s coming. They will say “Spain’s got the right idea” and “It’s not a bad place” when critics point to Spain’s failures at government supported green jobs.
